Dave Laros is a passionate musician with over 20 years of experience as a piano entertainer and teacher. A musical sponge and chameleon, he knows over 1500 songs by memory and has played every genre of music from “the King” to Kings of Leon. His current passion is jazz piano.
Most recently, David was a major force behind the opening and amazing success of Point Street Dueling Pianos, a multi-million dollar piano bar in Providence, RI. David spent the last three years at Point Street and, prior to that, worked at other dueling piano clubs nationwide (i.e Howl at the Moon-Hollywood, Rick’s Dueling Pianos-Las Vegas, and Big Bang-Columbus, OH).
While at Point Street, David sought out and groomed a young female vocalist who went on to win numerous competitions and now tours the country as a dueling piano player. He continues to mentor her and other students in piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums and songwriting.
David’s father taught him to play piano, sing and write music at the age of 7. He began performing his own compositions as young as age 12 and in high school, accompanied numerous show choirs winning national awards. As an adult, David also acted in musical productions such as Hair, Sweeney Todd and Godspell and studied songwriting at the State University of New York. David has toured the country numerous times, either solo, or with bands of every genre and has lived in every major music city.
