Jesse Cohen is a Berklee College of Music graduate as a piano principle with a degree in Film Scoring. Ever since picking up the piano and guitar at age 9, music has been an integral part of Jesse's life. He began writing and recording his own songs shortly after. Drawing from influences ranging as far as the Beatles to Metallica to Bob Marley, versatility is a key element in Jesse's playing and music instruction. Jesse has played in numerous local bands, including Guns ‘n' Roses tribute Loaded guns, pop-funk band Soulstice, and original metal band Counted Shadows. A new electro-rock project is in the works currently.

While a student at Berklee, Jesse began teaching piano and guitar lessons and now has eight years of experience teaching hundreds of students. In 2008, he began an enrichment class called Rock Band at the Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Framingham, giving students a chance to learn about playing in a band, writing songs, recording, and performing live. He has also played piano accompaniment for community theater groups and school musicals. In addition to teaching private lessons and performing in bands, Jesse has composed music for several short films, websites, and video productions. He blends composition and music theory with traditional instrumental instruction, making it simple and useful for students of all levels.
