Kristen Ford is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with over 10 years of experience playing music. Growing up in Western Massachusetts, Kristen picked up guitar and instantly began writing songs. At age 15 she attended the Institute for Musical Art's Rock N Roll Camp for girls, where she went on to later teach and mentor younger performers.

Her love of guitar and voice was followed by Ukulele, drums, bass, beatboxing and anything else she could get her hands on to produce a melody. She graduated with a Bachelors in Music Performance at Columbia College in Chicago in 2009. Shortly after graduation Kristen was signed to Many Doors records, and released her first of 3 full length albums available on iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby. Over the past 3 years Kristen has fronted the Kristen Ford Band, playing over 100 gigs a year in 41 states and 4 countries including Iceland, New Zealand and Germany.

She has shared the stage with such performers as Sonya Kitchell, Naia Kete, Matthew Santos and Erin Mckeown. Kristen loves working with kids and adults looking to enrich their lives with music. She has been hosting an all ages open mic and booking all ages shows at Bloc 11 Cafe, and teaching independently ages 5-25 for the past 2 years.

Kristen thinks above all expression is important, music can be fun, and you've got to get out there and play!
