Lindsey Horbert's love of music began at the tender age of five with classical piano lessons. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Lindsey continued her lessons through high school while involving herself in the Brookhaven Youth Orchestra , Brookhaven Jazz Band, theater and high school variety shows.
After high school Lindsey attended and received her Associates Degree with an emphasis in Psychology from Suffolk County Community College. During her time there she was highly involved in Suffolk Singers and in the development of a Baroque Ensemble which was later approved by the Music Department and made available for future Music Majors at Suffolk County Community College.
Her musical journey continued on to Berklee College of Music where she received her Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy. While present at Berklee, Lindsey was involved in musical outreaches, bringing music into local nursing homes and preschools. She has volunteered time at Carter School, Sherrill House, McLean Hospital and Children’s Hospital as part of her music therapy experience and training. Special mention from Lindsey is her time spent working and learning at Westborough State Hospital. In her own words, Lindsey says "[Westborough] was my internship site and I can't say how much an impact the people there had on my learning..."
