Spencer Elliott is an Ohio transplant to the Boston area. After earning his BA in Music from Otterbein College in 2006, Spencer was invited back to Otterbein to teach the MUSC 140-01 Guitar Class. He taught at Otterbein for over two years while also running a private studio, with students ranging in age from six to sixty, teaching just about every genre of music you can imagine. Both the group classes at Otterbein and the individual lessons shaped Spencer's teaching style. He knows how to pay attention to the interests and needs of each student, while focusing on long-term goals and short-term achievements. Spencer is an energetic, hard working and organized teacher with a strong mind for music theory and history, and also a strong proficiency as a player. With over ten years experience playing in front of audiences ranging large to small, in genres ranging across the spectrum of music, Spencer is a high-caliber performer with a love for passing along his knowledge and experience.
