Zachary King earned his bachelor's in Music Education at the University of New Hampshire and his master’s in Jazz Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music. Since graduating, Zachary has performed his art in many off broadway performances, local jazz nights and festivals, metal venues, and much more. Zak is extremely versatile in his artistry, getting his start at 16 performing as drummer and lead vocalist of Epicenter. Since then he has worked with a number of local groups and artists, such as Dave Newsam, Matt Savage, Eric Klaxton, Nihco Gallo, Michael Beling, and Nick Mainella. He currently works with Javier Rosario in his trio, Kenny Cha group, JJ Jhnsn, and performs as drummer of metal ensembles Dzö-nga, and Ice Giant.
Zachary's teaching method is personalized to each individual’s strengths and weaknesses, with an emphasis on fundamental concepts applicable to any style. He likes to balance technique with musicianship, being sure his students understand why they are practicing something and how to apply it in whatever form of expression they choose. He strives to be a valuable and memorable mentor in his student’s lives.
