Jane Labriola holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance from the University of New Hampshire and a Master in Arts of Teaching Education from Simmons College. After graduating, Jane participated in the American Institute of Musical Studies’ elite summer music program based in Graz, Austria, where she studied opera, lieder repertoire, and performed with European conductors. Upon returning, she began teaching vocals for all levels and beginner piano for students, which she has continued for over five years. Jane has also been a 4th grade teacher in Plymouth Massachusetts for the past 3 years. She is the director of the schools’ musical and a member of the Tanglewood Festival Choir, performing at Tanglewood and in the Holiday Pops. She is classically trained, but has a love for a wide range of styles including, pop, broadway, folk, and a cappella. Jane believes that once students have fundamentals, they can learn many styles of singing and playing. She enjoys bringing fun and a little spunk into any lesson.
