Jammer education: After watching her grandfather build electric guitars, it was no surprise that Claire began her music education at age 8 on guitar. As she developed a love for music, she went on to learn cello and voice. From master classes with jazz legend Joe Hunter and voice lessons with Kim Nazarian, it was no surprise that Claire decided to pursue a degree in music. After attending a variety of music and arts programs, she ended up attending her dream school, Berklee College of Music, where she received her Bachelor’s in Professional Music, with a concentration in songwriting and arranging.

Jamography: Claire’s teaching career started at a musical theater camp where she worked as a casting director, voice coach, stage manager and professional game player! She has worked with children ages 6-14 and has experience working with special needs students. She has shared her love of music teaching private students and is eager to make a connection with new students and families from JWY.

How Claire jams with you: “My biggest concern with a student is that they look forward to their next lesson.” Claire aims to make music a source of joy for all of her students. After that, she values proper technique and musicality. She uses her vast experience and knowledge to make lessons fun and engaging while also ensuring that students progress every week.
