Ed-jam-ucation: Joe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music. His musical journey began when his parents purchased a piano for the house and, to divert the endless banging on the keys at all hours, signed him and his sister up for lessons. Joe studied piano all throughout school and played in various ensembles including his H.S. Jazz Bands, and All-State Big Bands. He eventually earned a music scholarship to attend Berklee and the rest is history!

How Dallen JAMS with you: Drawing upon his own experiences as a student of several different piano teachers throughout his youth and schooling, Joe has crafted a student-lead approach that includes proper technique, ear training and repertoire selection with student-lead goals that may include playing popular or non-traditional piano pieces or something else musical altogether. In his own words, Joe states, “Whether my students keep at it, switch instruments, move away and find a new teacher or abandon performing altogether I only hope that I can be, at worst, a nice step up towards a long life of loving music and, at best, a lifelong mentor.”
