Jam Approach:
With a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) and a passion for helping students discover the joy of music, Yona brings both extensive musical expertise and a thoughtful, student-centered approach to every lesson. She teaches violin, viola, and piano, working with students of different ages, experience levels, and learning styles.
Yona understands that every student is unique, so she tailors each lesson to their individual goals, interests, learning style, and pace. She combines a strong technical foundation with creativity and encouragement, helping students develop solid musical skills while gaining the confidence to express themselves and enjoy the learning process.
For Yona, music lessons are about more than learning an instrument. She believes music education can help children develop discipline, confidence, curiosity, perseverance, problem-solving skills, and independence—skills that benefit them both inside and outside the music studio.
Whether a student is picking up an instrument for the first time or working toward more advanced musical goals, Yona creates a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, taking on challenges, and celebrating their progress.
Her ultimate goal is to help every student become a confident, capable musician while developing a genuine and lifelong appreciation for music.
