Jammin With You is seeking professional, engaging, and supportive voice instructors to join our team of In-Home Private Lessons Teachers. With over 500 weekly lessons across Greater Boston, voice is one of our most in-demand and personal forms of instruction.
If you enjoy helping students develop vocal technique, express themselves, and grow in confidence, this is a strong fit.
All voice lessons take place in students’ homes. Instructors must be comfortable traveling between homes in the Metro West and Greater Boston areas. Travel time and mileage between lessons are compensated. JWY can offer up to 25+ hours per week depending on your availability.
Qualifications
- College Degree preferred (music education, vocal performance, music therapy or related field)
- Strong vocal proficiency and healthy singing technique
- Ability to teach breath control, pitch accuracy, tone development, and vocal warm-ups
- Experience teaching beginner through intermediate and advanced voice students
- At least 1 year experience teaching private voice lessons
- Comfortable working with a range of ages, including younger students
- Ability to teach a variety of styles such as pop, musical theater, or contemporary vocal music
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle
- Must live in/near Greater Boston Area
Responsibilities
- Lead 30min – 90min private voice lessons in students’ homes
- Guide students through vocal warm-ups, breathing techniques, and pitch development
- Help students build confidence and comfort performing in front of others
- Select and teach songs appropriate to each student’s range and interests
- Support healthy vocal habits and technique
- Adjust lessons based on each student’s ability and goals
- Participate in ongoing training and development
- Handle basic administrative responsibilities tied to lessons

Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: As little or as many as you want. We offer a highly flexible schedule where you choose the days and hours you want to teach, and we work to fill your availability with students. Most lessons typically take place between 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

How does JWY work for you?
At JWY we work around your availability. You’ll be asked to provide the days and times you are available to teach – then sit back and let us do the rest! You can choose to open everyday for booking, or as little as one day a week. Voice lessons typically occur between 1p.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekends.
Sample Schedule
3:30-4 p.m. – Voice Student 1
(15 mins travel time)
4:15-5:15 p.m. – Voice Students 2 and 3 (same location)
(15 mins travel time)
5:30-6:15 p.m. – Voice Student 4
We group students by location whenever possible to reduce travel time and help you maximize teaching hours.
JWY is an established and highly rated company with a steady flow of new voice students.
You are paid directly by JWY and compensated for late cancellations and no-shows.
Our team supports you with lesson planning, student communication, and overall structure. You focus on teaching. We handle the rest.
