Ready to turn the volume UP on your musical theatre skills? Our Advanced MT Intensive is a high-energy, next-level experience built for passionate performers ages 11–15 who are ready to work hard and shine bright. This week-long summer program focuses on the intersection of vocal technique, acting a song, and polished performance skills.

By the end of this intensive, students will know how to:

  • Build and sustain a character’s journey from first note to final beat. 
  • Blend and perform confidently within a vocal ensemble.
  • Take and apply performance feedback.
  • Maintain healthy vocal habits during intensive rehearsal weeks.
  • Prepare music independently before rehearsal.
  • Make clear, specific acting choices in song performance.

Teaching Artist

Callie Emery, M.M., B.M.
Camp Director, Musical Theatre Vocal Intensive

Callie Emery is a classically trained soprano and dedicated voice educator with over eight years of experience teaching private students, specializing in young and developing voices. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a minor in Child Psychology from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

A lirico-spinto soprano, Callie has performed leading roles including Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica, La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, and Zelda ’48 in The Ghost of Gatsby. Her ensemble credits include Tosca, Le nozze di Figaro, and Candide. She has performed with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Disney World’s Candlelight Processional, the Festival Singers of Florida, and the Nairobi Chamber Choir. She has also appeared on live radio broadcast with WFCL Nashville Live in Studio C and has been a featured National Anthem soloist for major athletic events, including Orlando Magic NBA games, the 2016 Pre-Olympic Qualifier Swim Meets, and the Florida HSAA Football Playoffs.

As an educator, Callie is known for blending high-level vocal technique with expressive, confident storytelling. Her teaching emphasizes healthy vocal production, sustainable mix and belt development, emotional authenticity, and performance resilience. Parents consistently praise her clear communication, individualized attention, and the noticeable vocal and artistic growth her students experience.

Callie currently teaches a high-volume private studio and is passionate about helping young performers build strong technique, artistic intelligence, and lasting confidence both on and off the stage.
